LEARN. LIVE. EXPERIENCE

The world is evolving fast. Compared to the preceding century the rapidity of human advancement happens at a radical speed. We have learned more things during the last decade than the last century. We all say that one phrase “Omg did that happen one year ago? It only felt like a couple of months.” One might bring out an argument what makes time travel fast. As simple as it sounds, time is not absolute, it’s relative. We are the manipulators of our own time and space. You can take the discussion further talking about relative time, space and time continuum etc. But the idea is to differentiate what matters the most to least in your life.

Learn

Knowledge is the most valuable resource in the world at present. Developed countries invest millions of dollars every year on R&D (research and development). Countries recruit new knowledge as they expand their knowledge base daily. It all scales down to each individual; how you train your frontal cortex to learn. The average human brain consists of 100 billion neurons waiting to be used; Yes! We use all of them. The popular brain myth: humans only use 10% of their cerebral capacity had been proven as an incorrect assumption. Are we actually using our maximum capacity? The answer to that question lies within you.

The Human Brain is programmed to store so many data and it will be more than sufficient for a lifetime. According to Paul Reber, professor of psychology at Northwestern University “If your brain worked like a digital video recorder in a television, 2.5 petabytes (more than 2.5 million gigabytes) would be enough to hold three million hours of TV shows. You would have to leave the TV running continuously for more than 300 years to use up all that storage.”

Learning doesn’t necessarily mean academics. Learning could occur inevitably, even when you are reading this blog article or when you were surfing a website or when you notice the new google doodle. Surround yourself with knowledge, gather information and use them in your day-to-day life. There are people who have a vision of what they want to accomplish in life and how to escalate themselves step by step towards the ultimate goal. But at the same time, there are people like some of you and myself who don’t have a distinct goal where we want to end up. Reading will only give you information. Practice what you know and you will be able to learn. Whatever you learn will accompany you to that goal which you don’t know of yet.

Live

What will influence paradigm shift? Goals. Goals lead to plans. Plans require commitment. Unintentionally we are forced to procrastinate our success and happiness. When working towards a goal, you are essentially saying, “I’m not good enough yet, but I will be when I reach my goal.” The problem with this mindset is that you’re teaching yourself to always put happiness and success off until the next milestone is achieved. You are detaining yourself from being accomplished.

Live: we can give various types of definitions but let’s come up with something new.

L — leap: take the leap, take the initiative to be different. Don’t be a follower, be an individual.

I — Idealize: idealize what you love doing, what you care about. It could be your passion to sing or it could be a pile of books or even your career

V — Vibrant: Be vibrant, stop doing the same old things. Mix it up a little. Take a different road once in a while. Give a shot at bungee jumping even if it gives you a heart attack. It will be worth it. You will have a memory of a lifetime

E — Enjoy: most importantly, enjoy whenever and wherever you can

Say YES! figure how you are going to do it later. Life will only give us a handful of opportunities. If you flunk “So what?” don’t pave your road to being sad that you missed an entire lifetime of awesome.

Experience

Experience is the knowledge gathered from exposure to a particular circumstance. Experiences can aid us in many different ways. For instance, experiences can reinforce us to overcome a barrier.

According to Dr. Thomas Gilovich, professor of psychology at Cornell University “Our experiences are a bigger part of ourselves than our material goods,” You can really like your material stuff. You can even think that part of your identity is connected to those things, but nonetheless, they remain separate from you. In contrast, your experiences really are part of you. We are the sum total of our experiences.”

Happiness is the contented moment of your mindset experiencing. Naturally, our mind tends to wander around, deviating always. Phycologists believe mind should be in one place. According to Matthew A. Killingsworth and Daniel T. Gilbert, psychologists at Harvard University “A human mind is a wandering mind, and a wandering mind is an unhappy mind,”. “The ability to think about what is not happening is a cognitive achievement that comes at an emotional cost.” If not tamed your mind will cause you more misery, anxiety, depression etc. Minds tend to wander into dark, mystical, waggish places. Unless that mind has something exciting or sweet to remember.

You will meet lots of storytellers during your journey. Each one of them will have a different and unique story to share. In the corporate world, experiences are used by corporate trainers and consultants as a tool for coaching and training. Facilitators use storytelling to set tones to discussion topics. Experiences make it easier for us to bond as humans. Sharing the same experiences will lead towards long-lasting social relationships. Experiences will simply rejuvenate your charisma.

Learn Live Experience. That’s it!

Remember the beauty of life doesn’t depend on how happy you are but on how others could be happy because of you. Till next time, Adiós Amigos! Don’t forget to share your views.
